Worship at Prince of Peace is active and honoring to the Lord. Worship consists of a blend of traditional and contemporary music to appeal to all age groups and worship styles.
Prince of Peace is active supporting the local community, as well as our congregation. Some of our community support activities are listed below:
Back to School
In August we gather school supplies to provide to a local school to distribute to children in need.
Salvation Army Stockings
Each December we fill stockings for distribution by the Salvation Army.
In December we work with Prince William County Social Services to provide gifts for children in the local community.
Boy Scout Troop 1196
We provide support facilities for Boy Scout Troop 1196, sponsored by the United Methodist Men.
Cub Scout Pack 1373
We provide support facilities for Cub Scout Pack 1373, sponsored by the United Methodist Men.
Relief Supply Kits
In the Spring we collect items for Relief Supply Kits, which are provided to the United Methodist Committee on Relief to use in disaster response in the U.S and around the world.
UNITED METHODIST MEN (UMM)
Prince of Peace's United Methodist Men (UMM) group is known for their sponsorship of a variety of activities within the church. Their sponsorship extends to:
Hosting the annual Sweetheart Banquet
Acting as "Grill Master", providing hot dogs for the church's Easter Egg Hunt and the Dale City Fourth of July parade
Organizing the continential breakfast following the Easter sunrise service
Sponsoring Boy Scout Troop 1196 and Cub Scout Pack 1373
Building and maintaining several projects on the church property
UMM meets monthly for food and fellowship, with varying times to meet multiple schedules
