grief share

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you've probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

GriefShare is a special weekly seminar/support group for people grieving the death of someone close. It's a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of you loss. At GriefShare, you'll learn valuable information that will help you through this difficult time in your life.

Come join the GriefShare support group at Prince of Peace every Thursday evening from 7-9pm in the upstairs small group classroom. You can join the program at any time and come as often as you can/want to. For more information, contact POP’s GriefShare leader, Elissa Plylar at 703-580-7852 or the Church office for help. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

Celebrate
HEALING AND HOPE ARE ONLY STEPS AWAY !

The Christ-centered Twelve Steps offer an effective path to healing and spiritual growth for everyone. A founding father of Alcoholics Anonymous is quoted as saying, "The Twelve Steps are for anyone who has a problem, is a problem, or lives with a problem." Our hurts and habits may have different external manifestations and consequences, but they all keep us from perfect fellowship with Jesus Christ, from becoming the individuals that God created us to be, and from experiencing the freedom and abundant life offered to us in Him. Recovery and the Twelve Steps aren't just for alcoholics anymore ! The Celebrate Recovery Service and Small Groups can bring hope, healing, and growth in your relationship with Jesus Christ if you struggle with chemical dependence, Co-dependence, and other mixed issues. The world offers so many means of temporary anesthesia from our pain- Alcohol, Drugs, Relationships, Work, Sex, Food.
We ask for continued prayers for this new ministry as well as for those who are considering stepping forward to help. We are always looking for musicians to sign up on our music calendar for Fridays. Anyone interested in helping with this wonderful ministry are encouraged to come. Contact Brenda Overall
