PRINCE OF PEACE MINISTRIES

PRAYER

Moms-In-Touch International

Prayers make a difference! Moms in Touch is an international organization that intercedes for our children through prayer. We pray that their schools (elementary through college) may be guided by biblical values and high moral standards. Our desire is for God to raise up mothers to intercede for every school around the world. We also have prayer groups for our adult children who are in carreers and we have a prodigal prayer group.

We meet every Monday at 7:15 PM at Prince of Peace in the Fellowship Hall. For more information or if you have questions, please contact Dana Meier

Monthly Prayer Meetings

A wonderful opportunity to participate in intercessory prayer with your Sisters and Brothers in Christ and pray for the needs of individuals, our church and its programs, our community, and nation. Monthly prayer meetings are held in the Sanctuary on the fourth Friday of each month. For more information, please contact Monica Feury

Prayer Chain

Prince of Peace believes that prayer is one of the most important things we, as Christians, can do. For this reason, we have an active e-mail and telephone prayer chain enabling members to stay connected and to be constantly lifting up their brothers and sisters in prayer. Additionally, a prayer ministry is beginning for expectant mothers and babies.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

If you enjoy knitting or crocheting or are interested in learning how, you are invited to join the Prayer Shawl Ministry. These talented women meet monthly to make gorgeous shawls covering them in prayer during the entire process. Afterwards, these prayer-filled items are given to those in need so that they may know that Prince of Peace is surrounding them with prayer (literally). The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets at 7:00 PM the second Monday and the third Tuesday of every month. For more information, contact Linda Russ.

FELLOWSHIP

Spares & Pairs

POPUMC Spares & Pairs gathers on the third Saturday of most months. This group is open to any adult single or couple. Spares & Pairs meet for fellowship, fun, and laughter and they enjoy getting together for a good time. Whether they are hosting game nights, fun excursions to local events or taking part in the annual Progressive Dinner and White Elephant gift exchange at Christmas, you are sure to be in for a treat! For more information, please contact Debbie George

United Methodist Men

UMM meets for breakfast at Prince of Peace the first Sunday of each month from 7:00-8:00 AM. They also meet the first Saturday of March, June, September, and December (every third month) from 8:00-9:00 AM. The POP's UMM group is known for their sponsorship of a variety of activities within the church. Their sponsorship extends to the annual Sweetheart Banquet; taking on the role of "Grill Master" by providing hot dogs for the POP Easter Egg Hunt and the Fourth of July parade; organizing the continental breakfast after the Easter sunrise service; sponsoring Boy Scout Troop 1196; and building and maintaining several projects on the church property. If you are interested in getting involved or for more information, please contact Randall Bartlett
