February 21
Shrove comes from (1000 A.D.) the verb "to shrive" or hear confessions. The faithful would confess to the local priest and receive forgiveness before Lenten season began. "Fat Tuesdays'" traditional food is pancakes because it is the last day the faithful could consume butter, eggs or milk before the 40-day Lenten fasting period.
Our pancake feast and games will be put on by the Youth and all are invited. Donations will be accepted which will go towards the Youth Mission Trip). Come on out and enjoy some great food with great company!
